Mrs.Tomasi Hill

With her striking red hair, her cat eye sunnies and her amazing sense of style, Taylor Tomasi hill has become on of the most influential individuals among street style blogs. She is currently Editor of Marie Claire US magazine and in previous years worked for Teen Vogue Magazine as accessories director. What I admire most about her style is that it is innovative and forever changing. She puts together memorable outfits that are playful yet sophisticated creating a classic air about her. She has become one of my favourites!

Trustworthiness

I can hardly believe it's already March; I am absolutely ecstatic for the snow to melt and for spring to begin. February has been painfully busy, with dance seven days a week, a new semester and the search for the perfect grad dress, the stress really began to build. Hopefully March is a little less busy, but I highly doubt it will be. Anyways I thought I would share my beloved school bag and all that is in it. What sold me on this Calvin Klein back pack was the many little compartments, my favourite being the zipper flap at the top!

Field Trip

Since starting a new semester, school and dance have just been go, go, go. Dancing seven days a week has been a challenge, but when getting ready for competition, it's necessary. We finally got a break this week, so with some of our free time we decided to finally take some pictures.
Lately, the weather has been really up and down. Just when we thought spring was around the corner, it snowed like 2 feet!! So, today (since it was still snowing) we went to one of the art galleries in town. We couldn't take pictures in the actually gallery, so we went into the greenhouse. With so many tropical plants, it felt like we were taking a mini vacation! Hope everyone is keeping warm, cheers ! :)

Little Monkeys

These next few weeks are going to busier then ever, so we are going to apologize now for the lack of posts. The semester is almost done and I can hardly wait to begin the new one! However, with a new semester finals (killmenow) must be written; ours begin Wednesday. Everyone is high strung due to lack of sleep/stress; teachers are cracking the whip and assigning what feels like 18243534 assignments added to tour 5745334534545 hours of studying. I'm sure you get the point.

Anyways, we finally got around to doing an outfit post! This past weekend Jae and I ended up at our friends house party and by the end of the night it turned into a much needed dance party! The idea for the post was pretty sporadic and many of the pictures turned out un-focused, but we managed to save a few ha.

Dr. Kitty

Dr. Matens and Sanrio collaborated for Dr. Martens 50th anniversary and released a line of Hello kitty inspired boots and mary- janes! Ahh! I have been lusting over these for weeks debating wether or not to order a pair; preferably the multi. I have been a Hello Kitty fan since I can remember and yes, I still am.

The 64 Pack

Colouring books played a large role in my childhood, I can recall spending hours on end colouring and making "crafts". So you could imagine how happy I was when I came across these two books!

My ma actually picked this one up for me!

300 Days To Go

School started this past Monday; this year was more exciting than most mainly because it's the last first day of high school for both Jae and myself! This year we are seniors meaning that we not only have to achieve the best grades possible (HA), but also fulfill the traditions of grade 12.

Through out high school I have always been a back pack kind of girl, but this year I decided I would use a messenger bag. Needless to say I miss my back pack and will most likely be switching back very soon! The part I missed the most (beside the comfort factor) was the feeling of security that a back pack provided much like a turtle and it's shell.
Here are some backpacks I found!

clockwise from top left:
LeSportSac Backpack
Henry Cuir Sherpa Backpack
Alexander Wang
Jas MB Canvas and Leather Rucksack
Marc by Marc Jacobs Army Handhack
Alexander Wang Sydney Backpack
1a Prima Classe - Two Pocket Backpack
BDG Nylon Backpack

I am in love with this back pack for multiple reasons; primarily for it's structure and design.

Childhood Dreams

I have never been a die hard fans of the exibition; don't get me wrong I enjoy rides but something about ex rides being colapsable freaks me out. Once again this year I didn't go, but Nicole (our photographer) did. It sounds bizzare but she always wins the rolly ball game thing, and this year was no exception. She ended up bringing home a pikachu which she generously gave to me! I have been a Pokemon fan since age 5 as has jae. We were both pretty excited, so excited that we decided to feature the ridiculouly larger than life yellow stuffie on the blog!

So this is Nicole, she was being a goof and wouldn't let me post a photo of her with her face looking at the camera. She is our photographer I guess you could say!

Noodles

Summer has been way busier than expected making for a hold on our blogging, but now that most of the chaos has died down we have time for photo shoots and posts galore! We took these photos after a lunch at Norms consisting of our favorite noodle bowls and Vietnamese rolls. By the time our bowls arrived we were so hungry that we ate them with out snapping a photo; next time we swear.

Finally!

If anyone knows me, they know I've been looking for a purse forever. And as of a couple weeks ago, I finally found it! It's Badgley Mischka and I absolutely adore it. It is leather and grey-ish blue in color. The strap is long, so it works as a great messenger bag. I'm so happy I found it and I can't wait to use it!

San Fran Love: Part One

Summer for myself has been almost as hectic as the school year, which in many ways is better then it sounds. I have started my job and I find my self accomplishing more in the day then I usually would during the summers because I have to actually get up at a decent time. Before I had begun work my family decided to take a short trip to San Francisco! Ahhhh, the city was amazing. Besides how much larger it is then where I live it also has way more hills. We did a lot of shopping and sight-seeing which is a must with my ma. We went around the fourth of July meaning the sales were ridiculous; like many of our trips we ended up buying another suit case because of our shopping addiction ha.

As for the sight-seeing we did a whole lot of it!

IMG_0349
China town was very fun, and there were many shops and bakeries! The stores basically consisted of asian inspired trinkets and knock offs of LV and chanel.

IMG_0337
We went to the Yerba Buena Gardens right across from the Museum of Modern Art. The gardens were beautiful, full of large trees and flowers. It also include a Martin Luther King Jr. memorial of falling water. There is an out door stage where many events are held during many festivals, unfortunately we didn't have a chance to see any. Here is My ma and myself!

IMG_0241
We did take a bus tour or two haha, just to see the bridge!

IMG_0398
The tour took us to Golden Gate Park where we went to the California Academy of Science! I wish we would have spent a day at the park; it was huge. Besides the Academy o Science there was the Japanese Tea Gardens and the De Young Museum.

IMG_0279
Located in the basement was a huge aquarium!

I didn't quite know what to expect when going to Alcatraz. When I started walking around in the actual jail seeing the cells, it was an eerie feeling. The island itself was actually really beautiful, there was a ton of greenery and animals who have inhabited it.
