$1000 Fit

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I'm still full from the many family dinners and Christmas treats. Just before the Christmas break began our school had our winter formal; everyone worn their best and look marvellous. The night couldn't have been more perfect, it began with photos and dinner, followed by a dance and then a huge after party. My only regret was not snapping photos of the shoes; there were so many adorable pairs!

Pretty Lovely

The early months of fall are my absolute favorite. The colours of the leaves mixed with the warm fall air and the excitement of a new school year somehow create an almost euphoric state. Even though fall is long gone I can't help but admire these perfect fall looks!

Young Forever

Because Christmas is right around the corner, I have been doing a bit of browsing on the internet. Just recently, I came across this ping pong table that I thought was the coolest thing ever. I’ve never been good at table tennis, but I do enjoy playing with friends, which is why I just had to post about this special ping pong table. It was designed for Puma by aruliden. Based out of New York, they are a design team that helps brands bridge the gap between design and marketing. All handmade, the table’s top is a ceramic chalk surface so one can draw pictures and keep track of score right on the table top. With ash wood legs, the table adds a whole new spin to the game. I’ll be adding this to my Christmas wish list for sure!

So Backwards

Between school and dance both of us have had no free time what so ever. We didn't anticipate for senior year to be this demanding; there have been many opportunities offered to us that are just to good to good to pass up, not to mention we have been studying up a storm. However during our long weekend we managed to snipe a photographer and finally do an outfit post! Even though the weather was freezing we were determined to get a few good shots.

HBD!

October 25th was Jae's 17th Birthday. Since the matching bracelets were a fail (they broke in like a week) I bought us these rings as part of her gift!

Sophia

Sophia Coppola the screenwriter, actress, producer, and director can add designer to her long list of accomplishments; she is a woman to be admired. She had great success with her first line of bags released for the luxury brand, Louis Vuitton in 2009. The 2010 line, released last month, is extremely versatile and perfect for everyday wear. The bags resemble Sophia's personal style which is polished, elegant and most of all classic. Sophia is not a new comer to the fashion industry, she interned at chanel when she was fifteen and created her own line of clothing called Milkfed sold in Japan in 1995. Her achievements are never ending with a degree from the art institute of California, her appearance in the God Father and her creation of fascinating works that have inspired people on an international level.

All Photos are from the 2010 LV campaign

Mr. West

"Runaway" is Kanye West's latest work featuring song from his upcoming album, "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy". I find I get distracted quite easily, but my eyes were glued to the screen for the full 35 minutes; needless to say I was throughly entertained. The story revolves around a phoenix who has fallen from another world . . . the visuals were what sold me. Many of the images that were created were stunning with a beautiful use of colours. The use of the ballerinas was very effective, I felt the choreography was fitting but the dancers seemed a little reserved. Even if your not fan of Mr. West I highly suggest giving the film a chance, the visual mixed with his music was amazing.

Rhinestones and Spiders

Our dear friend Nicole picked both Jae and I up a pack of these when she was in New York. We were both SO excited when we opened the hot pink bag to find a pack of 96 adorable tattoos! The quality is excellent with the tattoos lasting for about a week depending on where they are placed.

Porcelain Hearts

These little porcelain hearts were made to treasure ones thoughts and emotions. The design and choice of material is so clever, porcelain = very breakable just like a heart is said to be hah. I have only once attempted the pottery wheel and am now left with a lopsided pot. I guess you could say ceramics are basically foreign to me especially porcelain. The look of porcelain is beautiful, but cold ; it reminds me of china dolls, expensive tea pot and anything else breakable. This is achieved via molds . . no wheels!

Nothing to Worry About

I was so thrilled when I woke up this morning and the sun was shining! We have not had weather like this in a long time, so I deemed it necessary to wear a dress I recently purchased online. Taking pictures with friends in gorgeous weather was a great way to spend my Saturday afternoon!

Happy Thanksgiving all :)

I Like It

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been in love with temporary tattoos. When Chanel came out with temporary tattoos, I was appalled. I never thought they would make a comeback! Now, more and more people are posing the idea. Beyonce is one of the newest to catch onto this new trend. Her tattoos are a bit more rugged including chains and spiders. Can’t wait to get my hands on some!

murakami versailles

Japanses artist, Takashi Murakami is one of my favorites, I was so excited when I read that his next exhibit was to be at the Palace of Versailles. With a PhD in Nihonga painting from the Tokyo University of the Arts, Murakami creates unique, modern and colourful pieces which are extremely reminiscent of kawaii culture. Murakami's corky work and the ornate rooms of Versailles contrast each other in the best way possible. I'm so envious of those who get to visit this exhibit!

Dr. Kitty

Dr. Matens and Sanrio collaborated for Dr. Martens 50th anniversary and released a line of Hello kitty inspired boots and mary- janes! Ahh! I have been lusting over these for weeks debating wether or not to order a pair; preferably the multi. I have been a Hello Kitty fan since I can remember and yes, I still am.
